Januari Challenge: 1,000 words a day

My first challenge of the year was the easiest to come up with and could be the hardest to complete (but let’s not get ahead of ourselves): writing 30,000 words or 1,000 words a day!

The challenge is inspired by the National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWriMo event. NaNoWriMo is a global event that takes place every November. On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30. It’s really quite awe-inspiring.

I took part in NaNoWriMo once. Didn’t make it past 5,000 words.

My challenge for 2015

Two of my favorite blogs out there are Leo Babauta’s ZenHabits.net and Scott Dinsmore’s LiveYourLegend.net. Both are an incredible source of inspiration for me. And in the last weeks of the year, they especially inspire me to take the time to plan and set goals for the next year.

Inspired by them, I decided to challenge myself in 2015. Really, really challenge myself.
